A Magnet alternative for Mac

Magnet is a paid window manager sold through the Mac App Store. It snaps windows to set positions such as halves, thirds and quarters. Zonewell is an alternative if you want layouts you design yourself.

What changes if you switch

• Custom zones. Draw up to 9 zones on a live preview instead of choosing from fixed positions.
• Saved layouts. Start from nine presets, tweak them and save your own.
• Arrange all windows. One shortcut sends your front windows into your zones in order.
• Sold direct. Zonewell is not in the Mac App Store. You download it from this site, try it for 14 days, and pay A$14.99 once if you keep it.

What to know before switching

Zonewell needs Accessibility access, as every window manager does. If you use Zonewell's edge snapping, turn off Magnet's, and macOS's own edge tiling too, or windows will be snapped twice. Magnet's own website lists its current features and price.

Try it without risk

The 14-day trial needs no account, and a purchase has a 30-day money-back guarantee. Your layouts stay on your Mac.
